This place is just amazing!!! I have tried pretty much all of their vegan options at this point (of which there are many) and all of the food has always been incredibly fresh and flavorful! In addition to that, it is also super affordable and everyone has always been friendly and welcoming as well. I really cannot recommend them highly enough and I will for sure be back many times!

The “mother” managing the place gave us the warmest welcome in Barcelona, she is kind and her food was amazing. We tried spinach pastries, hummus (most authentic), fatoosh and falafel sandwiches. Also Palestinian sweet called (warpat). Loved all of it very much. The food is too delicious it’s not for sharing with a friend (speaking from experience).

I've visited Fatayer 5-6 times now and it's always so good. the falafels are super flavoursome and fresh, as is the hummus and the baked goods both sweet and savoury are delicious and filling as well. It's also very well priced for central barcelona, or anywhere! A falafel wrap with everything is only 4 euros. The staff are also very friendly and helpful, and create a nice welcoming vibe. while there's only one small table, it's normally free if you want to eat in rather than take away. Recommend loads!

Eating lunch here was one of the more memorable parts of my visit to Barcelona. I was expecting it to be good. It turned out to be the best falafel and baklava I have ever had. But that wasn’t even the best part. The staff was so kind and welcoming that I stayed probably 30 minutes after eating just chatting. The whole experience was just heartening and inspirational with how these people were so hospitable and seemed to find a genuine joy in sharing their food, even in spite of the suffering their people and culture have been subjected to at the hands of countries like mine. Thanks so much for the amazing meal. It made my day.

Son muy amables 🇵🇸🫶🏼 y los precios son buenos. Se puede comer allí y también pedir para llevar. Cerca está la plaza Sant Agustí que es muy bonito sentarse.

What a homely team of owners/staff, and food that transports you back to Jordan/Palestine - the fresh, crumbly falafels, the crunch salad- I felt like I was back home. Falafel sandwich is a must, and their prices make the food an absolute steal. 4€ for a massive sandwich and 7€ for fattoush+hummus+a drink?? wow. Must visit for fantastic fatayers and also fresh desserts. Thanks for having us!

If you appreciate original homemade simple honest food, genuinely nice people and people who use their voices for justice, you can only love this place. Most is vegan and some is vegetarian. Very simple menu! The fatayer were great (just like empanadas but better and cheaper), the falafel sandwich was almost too cheap and together with the smoked baba ghanoush it was super delicious! And I’ve had much falafel before. They sell Palestine Cola of course! Thank you and frea Palestine from zi0nism 0ccupation!

What a lovely place! We had mushroom, spinach and beef fatayer + falafel platter and falafel sandwich. They were all wonderful! If you’re looking for a quick snack/ a taste of home, pay them a visit and you won’t regret it. The cherry on top is they’re a lovely family and everything is home made 👌

I've been vegan for over a decade and this HANDS DOWN has been the best falafel I've ever had in my life. First time I went there I got 5 falafel balls (ridiculously good value) and left and had to return to get 5 more. Absolutely amazing find. I honestly find falafel normally pretty bland but here it was amazing. Great flavour and crunchy outside. It came in a wrap with lots of good flavoured tomato salad ( the tomato tasted like tomato! And not like water) They made it fresh. He even gave me some water to drink whilst I waited because it was super hot outside. While I waited for a few minutes I saw numerous things I would like to try. Many things are vegetarian or vegan but some meat options are available too. It looks like this is a family owned place and the service was really friendly. The prices are unbeatable too. I definitely recommend getting a great snack from here and I wil go back here for sure.

This is hands down the best Falafel in Barcelona, they make each sandwhich from scratch including the falafel so its hot and crispy. The sandwiches only cost 4 euros! and they are authentic as you get - ask for some Shata (or spicy sauce if you want). It is run by a lovely and warm Palestinian family. They also have Fattoush if you are feeling more like a salad and the smokiest Baba Ganoush you will ever have. Don't miss this gem in El born. I've become a regular!

Bought the meat and the cheese fatayer, along with falafel and mint tea - all of it was amazing! Especially recommend the falafel - they were crispy and fresh! I went for falafel, which they said was only served on Saturdays. So I bought Fatayer with spinach and mushrooms instead. Fully vegan and absolutely superb, healthy, delicious, and quite affordable! That’s great for customers, but I think they might need to raise their prices to stay in business. I’ll definitely go back to try other options!

Pedí el menú (con humus, falafel y fattoush) y un sándwich de falafel y todo fue muy muy rico. El falafel es de los mejores que he probado. El pan del sándwich es casero y también de alta calidad. Además, el servicio fue muy amable y los precios extremadamente accesibles (11€ per el menú y sándwich de falafel). Seguro que volveré para probar los productos horneados.

Aujourd'hui, j'ai rencontré la Bonté dans une boulangerie que j'ai visité au hasard, dans le quartier où je reste à Barcelone. La Bonté s'appelle Moustafa. Son frère s'appelle Omar, son neveu Hassan, et dans la cuisine, il y avait le reste de la famille que je n'ai pas encore rencontré, car je reviendrai. Moustafa m'a accueilli ce matin avec un sourire plein de sincérité, sincérité qui embellit son visage. Cette boulangerie vend des fatayers, ces chaussons levantins farcis d'épinards ou de viande, ou encore de fromage. L’entreprise appartiendrait à Omar mais de toute évidence, ici, c'est une histoire de famille. En quelques minutes, Moustapha a eu le temps de me raconter une vie, m'offrir un thé à la menthe pour attendre que mes fatayers sortent du four, m'informer que la famille était toute dans la cuisine en arrière et que si les étalages étaient vides, c'est parce qu'ils cuisinent sur commande pour que ce soit toujours chaud, et qu'au nombre qu'ils sont, ça travaille très vite. Il m'a parlé de l'huile d'olive qu'ils utilisent pour cuisiner, qu'ils en mettent aussi dans la pâte car non seulement c'est bon, mais c'est aussi une bénédiction. Quand il m'a dit qu'il venait de Palestine, j’ai senti mes yeux devenir humides. Je venais de rencontrer la bonté que j'ai vue tant de fois, trop de fois, être abusée et maltraitée sur les réseaux sociaux depuis trop longtemps. Un homme est entré dans la boulangerie commander un espresso, de toute évidence un habitué. Et Moustafa qui lui dit : Bonjour l’Italien, viens en arrière faire ton café, tu le fais mieux que moi. La famille n’était donc pas seulement dans la cuisine. C'est si bon.

We have been multiple times and everything we have tried has always been absolutely delicious. We especially love the spinach Fatayer and the falafel. The prices are more than fair and the service is warm and friendly. We will be back many times.

It's my favorite place to eat in Barcelona. Food is extraordinary and the nicest family you will come across. I'm Lebanese, so my standard for this food is very high, and they are legit.

Hands down the best falafel I ever had!!! They owners are so kind and hospitable. I feel so welcomed when I come. I love grabbing their baked goods like spinach fatayer, cheese fatayer, and lahm bil 3jeen for my family and friends with some soothing mint tea. It's my favorite spot to go to for breakfast and lunch.

The quality of the food at Forn Fatayer is only surpassed by the service. The falafel was the best that I have ever had, and the baklava is delicious and homemade. The family that owns this shop were so kind and hospitable. I highly recommend you stop in!

We stumbled upon this gem on our way out of Barcelona, but we’re so glad we did! It was their second day open and what drew us in was “Palestinian falafel”! We had two sandwiches on both pita and the thinner flat bread and both were incredible! Best falafel we’ve ever had, hands down. We tasted other dishes as well, which were equally good, but I forget the names. The baklava for dessert was also incredible! So rich and flavorful, but not overwhelmed by syrup like you sometimes get. The family who owns the shop and prepares all of the food in-house are incredibly kind and welcoming, as is usual for families originally from Palestine! You must try their food! I cannot wait to visit Barcelona again, specifically to come back to Forn Fatayer!
