I only had three hours in Marbella and popped in for a quick coffee and honestly, I absolutely loved it. I almost felt sad that I didn’t have more time. The coffee was perfect, the service was excellent, and everyone was incredibly kind. The café has a modern, beautifully thought-out interior, and you can really tell how much care and love were put into every detail. I love cafés like this, and we really need more places like it. I’ll definitely come back to Marbella just so I can enjoy their coffee again. All compliments and the highest recommendations! 🎈 If you’re in Marbella and you skip this place, you’re seriously missing out. ☕✨

Essen war okay aber nicht gerechtfertigt für den Preis. Es wird mehr auf Konzept und Design gesetzt als auf durchdachtes gutes Essen. Und satt ist man vom Frühstück leider nicht, dafür ist es zu wenig. Unsere Bedienung wirkte sehr gelangweilt aber die am Nebentisch war nett. Super schade weil die restlichen Bewertungen tolles versprachen.

Sitio super acogedor y bonito. Nada más entrar te entran ganas de pedirte absolutamente TODO. Mi decepción llega cuando pido un matcha al precio de 4,50€ y me ponen una taza un poquito más grande que un chupito.. Precio desmesurado para la cantidad. Se lo indico a la camarera y me comenta que ya lo sabe, que más clientes se lo dicen. Estaría bien que el dueño tomará nota.

One of the best cafés in the center of Marbella. The service is always excellent and very friendly — they really make you feel welcome. The coffee is top quality (probably the best in town), and they serve delicious New York Rolls, which are not easy to find around here, with fillings like pistachio, meringue, or Nutella. A great spot for breakfast or an afternoon coffee break. Highly recommended!

We came here for breakfast and we weren’t too impressed. The coffee was really good so if it’s a coffee and pastry you’re looking for this is a good spot. I got eggs and sourdough which I personally didn’t like, it we tasteless. My partner ordered the old town which he didn’t rate, it wasn’t toasted. We later saw it was premade which we are both personally not a fan of. If you’re looking for high quality

Non avevo mai bevuto un caffè in Spagna perché non si può pretendere di avere qualcosa di passabile fuori dell'Italia tranne qualche eccezione ebbene questo locale è la eccezione il caffè è sublime inoltre la scelta di pasticceria, con grande utilizzo dell'ingrediente pistacchio, è spettacolare. Un grazie ai fratelli Salvatore e Christian per tenere alto il valore delle specialità siciliane e a KAREN che da dietro la macchina prepara un ristretto perfetto grazie alla sua professionalità e dedizione e al fatto che essere Colombiana vuol dire appartenere alla terra del caffe e della amabilità. Café vraiment moyen et pain au chocolat très cher et pas étrange (une genre de crème à l’intérieur, très sucré plutôt une pâtisserie mais vraiment pas un pain au chocolat). L’un des serveur est hautain.

Kafein is an absolute gem in Marbella’s Old Town — the perfect spot for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Tucked away in one of the charming narrow streets, it offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay all morning. The pastries and cakes are exquisite — the New York Rolls are out of this world! The pistachio one is my favourite, generously filled with the most delightful cream. I also had my first ever matcha latte here and completely fell in love — perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. The smoked salmon bagel is an absolute must-try, fresh and full of flavour, and the carrot cake is plentifully portioned and truly addictive. Every bite feels like it’s made with care and passion. The service is friendly and relaxed, adding to the overall charm of the place. A visit to Kafein is the perfect start to the day — but trust me, one visit is definitely not enough! 🥐☕💚

Kafein Coffee & Kitchen was a disappointing experience. The staff were unpleasant and pushy, making the visit uncomfortable from the start. The place itself is very small, which made it feel cramped. I was let down by the dry bread, which was far from fresh. The matcha latte was tiny—almost the size of a double espresso—hardly worth the price. To top it off, was over charged 5 EUR - either just for eating in or plainly scammed (2 matcha latte, acai, tostibérico = 38, paid 43.5). Overall, not a place I would recommend. Edit: Attached payment fact, but sure "I was in another place".

La miglior caffetteria della zona, ogni piatto è una prelibatezza per il palato, tutto fresco e genuino! Staff super disponibile pronto ad accoglierti con il sorriso. Consigliatissimo!!

Excelente restaurante de desayunos. Estuvimos aquí varias veces durante nuestra estancia en Marbella. Puedo recomendar especialmente el Toast Clásico Ibérico. A nuestra hija le encantaron las Pancakes con chocolate.

El café más caro del centro de Marbella. En la carta de por si ponen los precios pero no especifican que te cobran un plus por ser descafeinado de 0,40€ y otro plus por leche vegetal de 0,50€. Que con lo caro que es el chupito de café ya debería de estar incluido en el precio o al menos avisar de que te van a cobrar los suplementos.

Locale accogliente, servizio cordiale ma la nota di merito è sicuramente la qualità della materia prima. Posso sicuramente consigliarlo!

Great coffee, lovely service. Both baristas were presumably South East Asian, probably Indonesian if I'm not wrong which just adds to the overall experience. Out of my negligence my cup was taken before I had finished my coffee, the waiter was kind enough to get me a new drink free of charge. Thumbs up!

Peanut butter latte !!! hands down the best I have had (that I had not made myself). Right balance, not sweetened. Five star service from the young waiter who made the just-right suggestion to match my latte while I had not even planned on eating. A good pistachio croissant is always 100% better than a pistachio croissant roll, anywhere. IMHO. Could use a less sweetened pistachio creme, but it was not overfilled, which made it a great midday pick me upper. PS: you are going to need more seating.

El espacio tiene una decoración muy cuidada, con un ambiente ideal para relajarse o disfrutar en buena compañía. La carta ofrece gran variedad de platos con una presentación impecable, ideal para un buen desayuno o un brunch… todo está SUPER RICO!! Hoy fui después de comer porque mi sitio favorito de matcha estaba cerrado y vi que este tenía buenas reseñas... Eso que venden no se puede hacer llamar matcha, por 6’5€ que me han cobrado me han dado leche de avena con agua sucia, me parece denunciable cobrar casi 7 euros por un matcha de mala calidad, que para nada era ceremonial, ni la preparación era correcta… lo hicieron muy rápido y seguramente tendrían el “matcha” preparado en alguna nevera porque no vi ningún chasen por ahí… Normalmente no me suelo quejar en sitios y aunque no me guste me lo tomo, pero esto era repugnante, cuando fui a quejarme la chica fue muy amable y me hizo el matcha más “cargado”, sé que lo hizo con buena voluntad pero estaba muy malo también así que me quejé por segunda vez, el chico que también estaba trabajando me miró fatal y me cuestionó cuando le dije que eso no sabía a matcha… se nota que no forman al personal bien porque madre mía… si se piensan que así es como debe de lucir y saber un matcha. El matcha no es una bebida fácil así que si no sabéis prepararla correctamente no la vendáis a un precio carísimo por estar en el centro, directamente no lo vendáis porque no tenéis ni idea. A dos calles tenéis Bootes que es mi sitio favorito de matcha con una atención de 10 ! Lo siento mucho por la chica que tuvo que volver a hacer mi bebida y siento mucho que no la hayan enseñado bien o no tengan ingredientes de calidad pero el trato del chico era motivo de hoja de reclamaciones, la chica le dijo que me devolviese el dinero y él sin decir nada ni disculparse ni nada me da el dinero y se va, en fin, todos estamos muy cansados de trabajar cara al público pero yo fui de buenas formas y con conocimiento sobre lo que hablaba así que no es para mirar con cara de asco cuando te hacen una crítica y mucho menos de decirme que así tiene que ser el matcha (las dos primeras fotos son de los “matchas” de kafein y la última es de un matcha ceremonial de calidad por el mismo precio) No volveré ni recomendaré este sitio a nadie.

Le brunch était très bon. Mon granola accompagné de yaourt grec et de fruits frais était délicieux, ils proposent aussi des croissants salés grillés, très bons. Les jus de mangue étaient ok, mais chers. J'ai pris les pancakes aux oeufs brouillés et bacon, mais ne mangeant pas de viande, j'ai demandé à remplacer le bacon par du saumon, ils ont accepté mais ne m'ont pas du tout indiqué que cela serait facturé 4,50€!! J'ai découvert cela après avoir payé, car là encore, ils n'ont pas eu la délicatesse de nous montrer le ticket avant de nous encaisser. A revoir !! J'ai aussi dû insister pour avoir le petit pot de sirop d'érable, les serveurs étaient trop étonnés que j'en prenne avec du saumon... Ils ne savent pas ce qu'ils ratent, car c'est dément !

El local muy cuqui en pleno casco antiguo. Los café no son para nada top, y casi 4€ por el descafeinado. El croissant pistacho muy muy mejorable por lo que cuesta. Y la atención al público debe mejorar si estás pagando por merendar como si estuvieras en Viena.

Une expérience médiocre. Mon conjoint s'est trompé de commande, il s'est excusé mais la serveuse lui répond d'un air très hautain que c'est belle est bien ce qu'il a commandé, nous nous sommes excusé une deuxieme fois mais cela ne semble pas la satisfaire. Elle nous a changé la commande mais son attitude arrogante et désagréable à continuer durant tout le service. Le services à la clientèle est à révisté, peut être trop de médiatisation sur les réseaux sociaux a donné la grosse tête à certain. Je vous recommande d'autres places sur marbella avec à la fois de la nourriture excellente et un service irréprochable. Le brunch quand à lui est parfait.

Un desayuno riquísimo y un servicio excelente. Pedimos huevos turcos, granola bowl y dos cafés con leche. El café muy bueno, de sabor suave y cremoso. Además bien de tamaño, te aguanta el desayuno perfectamente sin que tengas que pedir otro. Los huevos muy muy sabrosos, con el punto justo de picante y el tostado de la mantequilla perfecto. El pan muy bueno también. El bowl llevaba manzana, nectarina, plátano y granola, con yogur griego bien cremoso y nada ácido. Nos ha gustado muchísimo porque llena bastante además. Los croissants han sido cortesía de la casa y he de decir que el hojaldre es un sueño: sedoso, húmedo y con un sabor delicioso. Nos ha sorprendido muchísimo la visita, sin duda repetiremos!

Esta cafeteria es un lugar maravilloso para empezar el día, el café está delicioso y los huevos turcos son los más auténticos y buenos que puedes probar en toda Marbella. Ademas, la decoración está muy cuidada y el personal es muy amable.

The guy at the cashier took the croissant with cream on the top and smashed it down into the paper bag. When I told him he could put more carefully and not smash it so hard, he started insisting and gaslighting that anyway there's a cream inside of it. Yeah sure then all the walking way I was suffering from the oiled paper bag and dirty hands. Ah yes, also he got me iced matcha instead of hot one. Thanks to this dude in the green shirt the service ruined all the impression of the place and my breakfast. Learn to say just normal sorry.

He pedido un cruasán de chocolate, pero prácticamente no tenía chocolate: más de la mitad estaba sin relleno, solamente la parte superior tenía un poco, lo cual considero un engaño. Además, el camarero mostró confusión tanto consigo mismo como con el cliente, cambiando entre idiomas (español, inglés, italiano), e incluso comenzó hablando en inglés, lo cual no debería ocurrir estando en España.

Nuestra experiencia en Kafein Coffee & Kitchen fue, en general, neutra. No diría que fue mala, pero tampoco destacó para bien. Da la impresión de que es un lugar que ha sabido moverse muy bien en redes sociales y generar expectación, pero lo que encontramos no estuvo del todo a la altura. Las raciones nos parecieron algo justas, la calidad del café no terminó de convencernos y los precios no se corresponden con lo que realmente ofrecen. Creo que es un sitio con potencial, pero le falta ajustar esos detalles para estar a la altura de la imagen que proyectan online.

One of the best breakfast-brunch places in the town of Marbella. Extensive menu, efficient service, and decorated in a cozy, inviting way. Situated in one of those lovely pedestrian streets in the old town just adds to the charm, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Totally recommendable!

The bagel and wrap were really tasty. I would avoid the sweet pastries, as they tasted a bit stale and dry. The service is fast and friendly.

The New York Roll (kinder) was very fresh and yummy. The flat white wasn’t great though. Too much milk and not enough coffee.

Tiny loud place with rude waiters. Croissant very dry with little filling just on top of it, otherwise pastry is empty. Plus they treat you rudely. We have been waiting for our turn to sit and then grabbed a table when was our turn. The waiter, who had not even been watching and aware of our waiting, warned us rudely we had to wait for our turn. We explained we did and we were the next in line for a table. He then started commenting with the other waiters in a loud tone that we didn’t wait for our turn. We stood up and left not before falling off this uneducated little man we understood everything of what he said. Of course he denied and didn’t even apologise. Little trap for tourists as there are not so many other options around. Spare me your reply and train your staff to be customer oriented, besides baking properly!

After having waited in the queue for some time to have a table we had the thought to have our coffee and pastry to go and asked the staff if take away is possible WITHOUT making any order. At this point of time a table became available and as it was our turn in the queue we sat down. The staff then started arguing with us and between them saying we just sat down not respecting the queue. Misunderstanding is possible and can be clarified. The very disturbing point is that the staff coninued arguing between them after I had made clear the situation. Confronting them with this unfriendly behaviour they pretended not to speak about the client. We understand Spanish and could hear their conversation loud and clear. After this rude behaviour we left without ordering anything.

El sitio es monísimo pero escuchamos a dosde los camareros cobrándoles de más a unos turistas. Uno le decía al otro que la cuenta eran unos 50 euros pero que les cobrara 65. Y nos pareció muy mal. Cuando pides la cuenta no traen el ticket. Nosotras lo pedimos para que no nos timaran. Revisarlo siempre. Otra cosa que nos pareció mal fue cuando pedimos el bol de açai que cuesta unos 13,50 euros y te traen una broma de porción que se acaba en 4 cucharadas. Primer sitio que pido açai y me pasa esto

Everything was fine! Just problem : 1. The taste of coffee is too less i mean it wasnt stronge however i order cafe con leche The best item that i love it is you can eat fresh bread with fresh products( cheese, tomato...) because most of cafe around didnt change or care of products from yesterday... I can recommend it for go there with family 2. Maybe it was in morning still they arent ready brcause the tables need to be clean Anyway Good luck

Amazing place for brunch when you are in Marbella! I love their mango iced macha and every dish I've tried so far is amazing. Don't forget to finish your meal with a pistachio croissant! They are to die for. The service is nice and very efficient, always with a smile. Thank you for today, and we will be back!

El café rico y hecho con cariño; un croissant de bienvenida la primera vez que pisé, unos desayunos muy buenos y una atención maravillosa, pese a la cantidad de clientes que había. Y cerquita de uno de los locales a los que voy con frecuencia por trabajo.

Vine por un matcha... y ahora no sé si estoy más adicta al matcha o al dueño! . El lugar es acogedor, el matcha y café está buenísimo y el ambiente invita a volver ( por razones claramente evidentes 🤭). Lo recomiendo mucho para amantes del buen café… y para un buen brunch, el personal en sí son amables y atentos, volveré pronto. 🫶🏽 Pd: Orange cake 10/10

Rude waitress who spreads her misery to customers. Waiter has a better attitude. Sadly food was not fresh - bagel was hard and salmon was old. Iced coffee tasted like it was from a can.

Fantastic drinks and brunch dishes. One of the best cafes I've been to. Their Cafe Affogato was the best I've had. Their version of Pasta Amatriciana was phenomenal, they must add some pumpkin into the sauce, loved it. And I've eaten all over Italy.

Siamo state da Kafein per una settimana intera, ogni mattina, durante il nostro soggiorno a Marbella. Buon servizio, ambiente molto piacevole e ottima qualità del cibo. Molta varietà tra dolce e salato e porzioni sazianti. Super consigliato!

Rude service at the till, felt very uncomfortable. Edit to reply: what happened just half an hour ago as you most likely remember you didn’t allow me to sit and feed my daughter although I purchased food and drinks you weren’t friendly and understanding.

the three slices of bread served with the turkish eggs were rock hard. when we told the waitress she just responded with “ok”. the food was subpar with service to match. i feel cheated by the reviews that prompted me to eat here.

La comida es absolutamente deliciosa. Me ordené un café con leche y un croissant, y ambos estaban perfectamente preparados. El café era rico y suave, y el croissant estaba crujiente por fuera y suave por dentro. Además que su comida estaba hecha con ingredientes frescos y tenía un sabor increíble. Pero lo que me encantó fué su servicio. El personal es amable, atento y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Me sentí muy bien, además de su ambiente mucho más relajado y acogedor.

Pedimos um expresso (que seria 1,90€) e cobraram nos um expresso siciliano (2,30€). Quando fomos perguntar porquê disseram que era assim mesmo e que era normal, não deram mais nenhuma explicação.

Very cute vibe with indoor and outdoor seating. A bit pricey but pretty normal for the area. The food was good but not great. Coffee and pastries were GREAT. Service was 11-10! Would recommend for coffee and pastries.

Very unfriendly service. The waitress looks like you pissed her off or something and it’s not one time, I’ve been there twice. When I took a pistachio round croissant for take away, they gave me the oldest and most dry one. The coffee is less than mediocre. When I took a coffee for take away, the cup was really small and hot and nothing to wrap it so that I don’t burn my hands. I took a plastic cup that was next to the sugar and the staff started rudely interfering, grabbed my coffee from me, removed it from the plastic cup that I took and said that I cannot do that :( but they provide no means to take a coffee away safely. The chicken wrap for my husband for take away was freezer cold. They didn’t care to find a table for us for over 20 min, so we had to take away the order. Overall very overcrowded place where they simply do not care about providing a good service or at least be nice. Do not recommend

Finalmente ho trovato il mio nuovo punto di riferimento per la colazione a Marbella! Questa caffetteria, nascosta tra le incantevoli vie del centro storico, è una vera e propria rivelazione per chi cerca la vera colazione italiana. Dimenticatevi gli standard della città: qui siamo su un altro livello. Il cornetto è semplicemente divino e fragrante al punto giusto. E il cappuccino... una poesia! Schiuma vellutata e un caffè dal gusto intenso e avvolgente, preparato con una maestria che si percepisce ad ogni sorso. Non si trova facilmente una qualità così alta per cappuccino e cornetto qui a Marbella, ma questo posto ha centrato in pieno l'obiettivo. L'atmosfera è accogliente, il servizio cortese e ti fa sentire subito a casa. Se siete amanti della colazione all'italiana e vi trovate nel centro storico di Marbella, non potete assolutamente perdervi questa perla. Cinque stelle meritatissime!

A really nice place for breakfast/lunch. The drinks were as expected (we had an iced chai latte and a cappuchino) and the food was very good aswell (caesar salad and the spanish toast). The dishes were beautifully decorated with flowers. The street can be a little bit busy and many people pass by while you are enjoying your meal. Altogether a superb café with outstanding, good quality dishes. We will come back next time we are in town.

I quite possibly think this might be the ONLY coffee shop in Old Town that does iced coffee right! I seriously missed good iced coffee while traveling during the July heatwave and once we found this place, my days of being given hot coffee with a glass with 2 ice cubes were over 🙌 Try the bagels, they’re perfectly toasted 🥰 Some places are busy because they are slow, others are busy because they are just that good. This place is the latter 👍

We tried to come here every morning. As everything we got was so delicious from the food to the coffee my favorite thing was the turkish eggs and my partner loved the iced coffee. The only downside, if you can call it, that is that they're very busy, so to try to get there early
