Due to the fact that pastry is my number one passion, I have been in this industry for most of my life and had a chance to experience all it has to offer. I have catered in different countries, worked in Michelin-star restaurants, taught the art of pastry in kitchens all over the world, and finally opened my own bakery. By being exposed to so many different working environments, I have become an organized, efficient, and ambitious pastry chef. It has become important for me to always reach for perfection while remaining patient and determined at all times. I also constantly research new techniques and ideas to improve my creations and to get inspired for new recipes; most importantly, I strive to balance different flavors together to create a natural sweetness and to bring creativity, freshness, and originality to my work. When I call myself a professional pastry chef, I am prepared to live up to this calling and provide you with your order of the best quality.
My career flourished with training at renowned establishments such as theMichelin Star restaurant J’AIME by Jean-Michel Lorainin Bangkok andMaxim’s restaurant. These experiences allowed me to refine my skills and explore innovative techniques and flavors. Furthering my expertise, I attended theCallebaut Chocolate Academy in Belgiumand participated in numerous pastry training programs and competitions worldwide.
I am Tanya Novak, and I am delighted to share my journey in the world of pastry with you. My passion for creating exquisite pastries began atLe Cordon Bleu culinary school, where I had the privilege of learning from the finest French pastry chefs. This experience ignited my dedication to the art of pastry making.
Today, I am the proud co-owner ofArt Bakery & Gourmet in Marbella, Spain. In less than two years, our bakery has gainedrecognition as one of the top 10 most beautiful cafesin Spain and one of the best breakfast spots on the Costa del Sol. This success is a testament to our commitment to quality and excellence.

I ordered a cake last minute and they offered me a beautiful pre-made cake that looked like art! Additionally, they provided me with candles and a hand written card! It was so special and turned out beautiful!! I definitely recommend this place! The cake tasted amazing too!! We all loved it!!

I was absolutely blown away by this birthday cake I ordered! It was so delicious, with the perfect balance of flavors and consistency. Really a treat to have a Tiramisu Cake! I will make sure to order it again, even when it’s not my birthday! 😉 The communication from the chefs was also amazing; they were professional, kind, and brought such great energy to the entire process. This cake really made my birthday extra special. Truly a memorable experience—highly recommend!

I ordered a glutenfree birthday cake with short notice, we got the best service we could imagine and the cake was delivered in good time after our agreement. The cake was better than we could ever expect, we got a god recommendation from the bakery, the chocolate mango mascarpone cake was amazing, it looked like a work of art and tasted equally delicious☺️ 10/10

This bakery is amazing! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a gorgeous, tasty and healthy cake for any kind of ocassion. We were on holidays in Spain and wanted to find a cake for my mom’s birthday, only 2 days in advance. It was really short notice, but the bakery went above and beyond to accommodate our wishes and ideas for the cake. They recommended an excellent choice (Blackcurrant Forest Cake). Not only was the cake aesthetically gorgeous, it also tasted exactly as described on the website. Gluten-free light chocolate base with beautiful tasty layers of vanilla cream, chocolate and very fruity blackcurrant layer. It wasn’t overly sweet, it hit just the perfect amount of balance of sweetness. I definitely recommend going with the Gourmet size (24cm) that we got or even bigger. The cake can easily stay in your fridge for a couple days and it doesn’t go dry or stale at all. Everyone loved the cake (even small children who are usually not so easy to please). I’m really happy we found this place - it made my mom’s birthday even more special. Thank you so much for your great work, excellent communication and overall service!
