During my stay in San Sebastián I popped into Daniel’s Focacceria and it turned out to be a standout lunch break. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm, friendly server who made the whole visit feel effortless and welcoming. I chose the pistachio focaccia—the one with the green pistachio topping—and since it was my first time trying something like that, it felt a little adventurous. But wow, it delivered. The focaccia bread was beautifully light and soft, yet had a satisfying crisp edge; the pistachio topping added a rich, nutty flavour and a hint of uniqueness that made the dish feel special and memorable. It was surprisingly very fulfilling—big enough to feel like a proper meal rather than just a snack—and the service was impressively quick.

Takeaway Foccacia that are incredible!! We tried 4 items from the menu and all were delicious 😋 the sandwich options are massive ( the really nice lady did advise us of this). It has no seats but there are benches just outside, a park across the road and it is a short walk to the beach to enjoy.

Have to agree with all the 5-star reviews. We’ve eaten at some superstar restaurants and pintxos places here in Donostia, but sometimes you just want a GREAT sandwich on a park bench or at home. And this is definitely a great sandwich! Husband chose the mortadella and pesto sandwich and I had the eggplant focaccia. If you need chips/crips, pair the sandwich with a bag of Lay’s gourmet chips in the black bag with gold lining. (Accept no substitutes!) Oops, can’t post a pic bc we wolfed the sandwiches down!

The best marketing for food we’ve ever come across! We just happen to pass by this store when we were greeted by this vibrant, mouth-watering window display of what looked like sandwiches and pizzas. Except they’re not a display, they’re actually the food. We had just eaten them so we vowed that we will come back for them the next day. And that we did. We were about to leave the city but we had to make a quick stop to try this store. We ordered 3 different sandwiches and 1 flatbread, and wow they are HUGE. They’re honestly for sharing or for 2 servings! Trying them was a different story. We ordered one which had all jamon, one w pesto burrata alfalfa jamon, one w burrata tomatoes pistachio, one w Parma ham of sorts. We had certain expectations since they looked so good from the window, so when we had taken a bite, wow. It didn’t disappoint. Just wow. It was so good. I had tried the one w pesto burrata jamon and alfalfa, and it was PERFECT, granted I had waited about more than an hour before I ate it. The focaccia was so soft and flavorful, didn’t need any tugging. Like I knew it was made in-house and the ingredients on it were so fresh and quality. I think my brothers who ordered a sandwich each were more overwhelmed by the size—which is always a great problem—but the flavor was just there. Gah, what we’d give to be able to try it again. A must in San Sebastián!!

5 stars isn’t enough for this sandwich spot! The best sandwich I’ve ever had hands down (NYC/Paris don’t even compare). everything is so fresh & the sandwich is huge for the price point. Highly recommend taking a break from pinxtos & tapas to try this out. Probably best thing I ate in downtown San Sebastián outside bar Nestor. 10/10. This will be the first thing I eat when I get off the plane when I return!

Overflowing speck in soft, fresh made focaccia. Huge serving, enough for two people but they don't cut the sandwiches. Quick service. All sandwiches are 11 euros, worth it for its price, a value for money. Perfect for when you're hungry and looking for a quick and filling meal.

This is a must when visiting San Sebastián, the food is off the scale, the home made bread and filling is so delicious we had to go back for more! Wonderful staff and a fab little place to visit.

We came here twice during our visit during the lunch hour, it was a nice break from the heavier foods. We were eating at dinner time. My Jung kids also really enjoyed it. The vegetarian burrata and the vegan sandwiches were great, and the lady working there was also very friendly. Would highly recommend.

Es ist ein Pick up lokal, daher kann man Ambiente aussen vor lassen. Essen ist sehr gut! Frische Zutaten, aber es wäre toll wenn die focaccia aufgewärmt werden würden. Trotzdem empfehle ich es gerne weiter

Absolutely delicious focaccia, would really recommend the place. The portion is big, they have half a focaccia with the toppings like the picture and also the same one but with another on top, making a sandwich. There are no places to sit, but we took ours and sat at the park closeby.

Loooved our sandwiches here. The focaccia was cooked perfectly with that signature salt and olive oil seasoning. The sandwich ingredients were plentiful and super fresh too. The burrata, rocket, pesto and yellow cherry tomatoes was my fav but the mortadella packed with pesto, mozzarella and tomatoes was a close second. The balance between bread and toppings was just right. Would love to come back and try more. Excellent value at 11 euro each. No seating but loads of benches outside to enjoy your food and watch the world go by.

Ingredients are fresh and the focaccia is amazing: great texture and well seasoned. The portions are extremely generous. We can easily recommend stopping by and giving it a try with how well located it is. We personally stopped by 5 times during our 3-day stay in San Sebastián because we wanted to try as much as we could. At the time of this review, they have a perfect 5-star rating, which I believe is completely well-deserved. Thank you Daniel and Emma for your warmth and kindness, and the delicious food!

Had lunch here 4 times in a week and I think that should say it all! Great foccacia, fresh ingredients. Great tiramisu, creamy and not too sweet! The zuchinni with burrata and pistacchio was fresh, and light. The eggplant with feta was very rich in taste and had a very nice combination of ingredients. The nduja was oily and spicy as it is supposed to. The mortadella buratta an all-time classic, with clearly high quality mortadella. You really cannot go wrong here!

Amazing focaccia, so airy and flavourful, with the best and carefully curated topping combinations. I tried the aubergine, fig, mortadella and prosciutto, and man they were all bangers. Each flavor had such unique touches that we would never have thought of and yet they made all the difference in the world when it came to the flavor. Not to mention how warm and friendly the owners were. Already thinking about when I'm stopping by next.

Amazing focaccia. Had 4 of the flavours over two meals and will try to revisit again before we leave San Sebastián. All were great, but the stand out was the aubergine open faced focaccia. Owners are friendly, and I can see why they always sell out before the end of day.

This place absolutely deserve its 5 star reviews because the sandwiches are insane. The bread is so delicious and the portions are huge for how much you get. We enjoyed ours in the park nearby. There are quite a lot of vegetarian options as well.

Una masa y cocinado espectacular. Acomodaron nuestro pedido con antelación sin problema y el empaquetado para take away era perfecto. En cuanto al trato, perfecto, nada que objetar. El sitio es pequeñito, pero coqueto la verdad. Las raciones son generosas para el precio, y la calidad de los ingredientes se plasma en el producto final. Le hemos añadido alguna cosa más, pero tal cual está genial. El tiramisú casero de pistacho tampoco estaba nada mal. Para el pedido que hicimos de unos 35€ para unas 4 personas ha sido más que suficiente. Un trato muy personal y atento, muchas gracias

Foccaceria auténtica en todos los sentidos. Como fan de la Foccacia descubrir este sitio en San Sebastián fue un sueño hecho realidad. Recomiendo ir a medio día cuando justo abren, están recién horneados y para comer en la playa, en el puerto o en alguna zona cerca, son un espectáculo. Súper recomendado

It’s really good and veggies are fresh. We had the mozarella one which we didn’t like but aubergine one was really good and the other ones looked amazing. I suggest more airy focaccias as otherwise you are eating a lot of bread which is overtaking the whole taste..

Must come here hungry and order the bocaccia. It’s really fulfilling and packed with your choice of deli meat and vegetables or cheese. Makes you feel like you’re in Italy. The lady who assisted me was helpful. Only thing is this is a take away store so expect to find somewhere else to sit.

We both had a vegan sandwich which tasted so good and was full of fresh ingredients. The person selling it took their time in explaining the vegan and vegetarian options and was very nice and supporting. 10/10 🤩

Me and my friends came for focaccias with high expectations, and we left amazed! Owners were kind and welcoming, and don’t even get me started on the focaccias! If you’re in San Sebastian, definitely visit this place☺️

El focaccia estaba bien, aunque caro. Me negaron calentarlo diciendo que estaba recién hecho, y cuando lo comí estaba completamente frío.

Las Focaccias estaban buenísimas, De postre un tiramisú de pistacho delicioso! Muy recomendados. No hay mejor plan que Una focaccia para llevar y sentarse en la playa de la concha.

Randomly stumbled upon this gem and could not be happier. I will dream about the Sandwiches and Tiramisu for a lifetime. I don’t have any photos because I ate everything so quick I forgot to take them. This is my second time going this week during vacation. I’m tempted to go back again. The smell when you enter the shop is DIVINE! If you have been lucky enough to find this, do not miss out. The food is truly made with love, attention and good vibes. Best sandwich I’ve ever eaten!

Amazing fresh ricotta well worth the trip. We had mostly vegetarian and it was insane, although I imagine if you eat pork the sandwiches and focaccia, we’re just as good.

Increíbles las bocaccias! Pedimos una de berenjena, rúcula, tomates secos, pasta de anacardos, aceitunas negras y pimientos, y otra de mortadella, burrata, tomate y pesto, ambas deliciosas! También pedimos un estilo de pizza rellena de berenjena y tomates secos con queso de cabra. La atención fue muy amable y los precios están muy bien. Nos encantó!

Really good focaccia sandwich! The size is also huge so it was perfect to split one between 2 and have cannolo as dessert. Perfection!

J’ai eu le plaisir de goûter aux focaccia de ce restaurant, et c’était une vraie merveille ! Les portions sont généreuses, les saveurs parfaitement équilibrées, et tout est préparé avec des ingrédients de qualité. Les prix sont très corrects au vu de la quantité et de la gourmandise des plats. Un grand merci à Daniel, le patron, qui est extrêmement agréable et accueillant. On sent la passion et le soin qu’il met dans son travail. Je reviendrai sans hésitation ! Une adresse à ne pas manquer pour les amateurs de bonne focaccia.

If I could rate this higher, I would. Daniel is the king of focaccia. In all the places I’ve traveled (including Italy) I’ve never had focaccia like this before. It’s truly artwork. Everything is so fresh and Daniel is making sandwiches all day long. He is so kind and there’s clearly a lot of love that went into his recipes.
